Our modular furniture is made from imported, 18mm birch plywood that's sustainably grown in Finland. Boasting a gorgeous light colour and subtle grain patterns, European birch doesn’t just look fantastic - it’s also extremely strong and hard wearing. All our pieces are precision crafted at our workshop in Cape Town, and hand-finished using a water-based varnish and natural brushes with wooden handles. A beeswax polish infused with Cederberg botanicals is rubbed into the wood before shipping.
Flatpacked convenience meets timeless quality and durability. Every item we manufacture is delivered with its own unique assembly manual, and each piece of wood is clearly labelled using an impossible-to-confuse combination of letters and numbers. You don’t even need a screwdriver to fit our state-of-the art hinges and fastening system, both imported from Europe and with a 25-year guarantee. Moving house is easy as our pieces are designed to be taken apart and reassembled. Mable is with you for the long haul.

Mable is made from sustainable Scandinavian birch plywood that’s elegant and durable. To counteract the carbon footprint of sourcing wood from abroad, we use local items wherever we can, including water-based varnish and beeswax polish.
We’re also working with reforestation NGO Greenpop, donating trees and helping plant them throughout Southern Africa.
